The Sign Language Academy of Cape Fear envisions a future in which every Deaf and Hard of Hearing child develops a strong foundation in both English and American Sign Language. Which empowers them to thrive academically, engage confidently with the world, advocate effectively for themselves, and grow into independent, productive adults.
Our Mission
The mission of the Sign Language Academy of Cape Fear is to provide Deaf and Hard of Hearing children with a language-rich, bilingual learning environment in English and American Sign Language that supports academic achievement, communication access, self-advocacy, and lifelong independence. Through inclusive instruction, family partnership, and respect for Deaf culture, the Academy prepares students to participate confidently in school, community, employment, and the broader world.
