We're excited to welcome the first families to the Sign Language Academy of Cape Fear!
While admissions are not yet open, you can be among the first to receive updates by joining our Interest List. Families on our Interest List will receive early notifications about admissions, enrollment timelines, school announcements, special events, and other important milestones as we prepare to open our doors.

Opening Year
We are currently gathering funds to make SLACF accessible to everyone. For the 2026-2027 school year every student's tuition will be covered by our generous donors.
2027-2028 & Beyond
Beginning with the 2027–2028 school year, families may have access to additional funding options, including the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Funds.
What Happens Next?
Admissions are not yet open. The information below outlines what the admissions process will look like once applications open.
SLACF will offer rolling admissions, so families can apply throughout the year without waiting for a specific application deadline.
Once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email confirming that we’ve received it. Please allow up to two weeks for our admissions team to review your application and reach out with next steps.
If your application moves forward, you’ll be invited to the Academy to complete the in-person enrollment process. During this meeting, we’ll walk you through the remaining paperwork and help you navigate available grants and scholarship opportunities.
Please bring your student’s immunization records with you to your enrollment appointment.
